Harness out of a 1992 Ford Mustang 5.0L High Output Motor.
A Unknown to Car harness
B Green plug (To car harness)
C Computer
D Firewall grommet / Fuel pump relay. 
E A/C Pressure
F Tab and Tad (Not clearly in picture)
G EGR Solenoid plug ((Not clear in picture)
H To fog lisgts White Plug with  wires Pink/Orange and Purple/Green
I To fog lisgts White Plug with  wires Pink/White and Purple/Blue
J WOT S/C cut off Relay 
K Fuel Pump Relay
L Mas Air Sensor (Wires have been Extended)
M To H.E.G.O wire harness
M2 To Main Harness 
N Left HEGO sensor plug
O Oil, low level
P Right HEGO sensor plug
Q Brown Plug (To car harness)
R Self Test plug
S Self Test Plug (Gray)
T Coil plug
U Battery Ground (Attach directly to Battery!)
V Starter Trigger
W A/C clutch Plug
X A/C Clutch
Y Timing switch test
Z Distributor Plug, TFI (Wires have been Extended)
1-8 Fuel Injectors in correct order.
A1 Main harness to injector harness
B1 Main harness to injector harness
C1 Throttle position plug
C2 Throttle position sensor
D1 Ground (Not clear in picture)
E1 Canister purge (Wires cut off at masking tape)
F1 Coolant temp plug and sensor
G1 Air Charge plug
H1 Coolant sending wire
J1 Oil sending wire

Brown Plug wires hooked to: (Hint, get the Mustang side of the Brown plug and splice into those wires. Above picture this is plug Q)

  • T/Y Tack
  • W/Pk to Crank only
  • R/G to Crank and Run
  • R/LB to Crank only
  • Pu/Pk to H2O temp gauge
  • G/Pu Not used for Auto (Neutral switch)
  • Pu/Y Not used for Auto (Neutral switch)

 

Green plug wires hook to: (Hint, you can find a plug that will fit this plug on the Mustang side of the harness. Above picture this is plug B)

  • W/R not used
  • Gr/Y Run only
  • Pu A-C on switch
  • Dk G/Y Inertia switch (Then to Fuel pump positive)
  • Pk/O Speed sensor  negative (Splice this joint to ground ?)
  • G/Blk Speed sensor positive
  • Pk/G Check Engine Light (ground side, need power from other side of light)

Ok, You don't NEED to run the Speed sensor. If your rig sees more time on the road you'll want the Speed Sensor, but you can live with out it

This is a MUST for anyone thinking of swapping in a Ford EFI 5.0L. Buy the Probst pamphlet "Multiport EFI Engine Management Harness" by calling Ford's Tech 'Hot Line' 810-468-1356 for only $5.  Then buy or barrow the Probst book and read it, a lot! "Ford Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Control : All Ford/Lincoln-Mercury Cars and Light Trucks 1988 to 1993" by Charles O. And Mitchell wiring manual, from local library or Auto store.  Plus the Haynes and Chilton books. (I didn't use either Haynes or Chilton)


Swapping in a Ford 5.0 is as easy as any EFI engine, name any other company that published a book on how to swap in thier EFI engine!  Best part is no custom chip is needed to make it run well.
